Cookie Policy
SEDU takes a minimal approach to cookies. We believe your device should not be burdened with unnecessary trackers. This policy explains exactly what cookies we use and why.
What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They serve various purposes — from keeping you logged in to remembering your preferences. SEDU uses the absolute minimum number of cookies needed to operate the site. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site trackers, or third-party profiling technologies of any kind.
Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the basic functioning of the website. They are used exclusively for secure admin sessions when authorised team members access the SEDU management dashboard. These cannot be disabled without impairing core website functionality.
Analytics Cookies
If analytics is enabled in future, we will use privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics. We do not currently set third-party analytics cookies. Any analytics implementation will be disclosed in a policy update.
Preference Cookies
SEDU stores your theme preference (dark or light mode) in your browser's localStorage — not in a cookie. This data stays entirely on your device and is never transmitted to our servers.
How to Control Cookies
- You can disable or delete cookies at any time through your browser settings. Most modern browsers allow you to view, block, and delete cookies on a per-site basis.
- Disabling essential cookies may prevent you from using the admin dashboard if you are a SEDU team member.
- Disabling cookies does not affect your ability to use or view the public-facing SEDU website.
- Your theme preference is stored in localStorage (not a cookie) and can be cleared by clearing your browser's site data.
